Journalist Enmanuel Villalobos wins two Emmy Awards

MIAMI y WASHINGTON, D.C.— This month of June closed with good news for the Venezuelan journalist emmanuel villalobos who celebrated his triumph in the 65th edition of the premios Emmy in the capital, winning two of the three categories in which he received nominations.

Villalobos, who works as a multimedia journalist for local station WZDC Telemundo 44 in Washington, DC, received two awards as a reporter on the midterm election special and also on the 6:00 pm newscast.

The journalist joined the team of Telemundo in October 2022 and in just three months he managed to demonstrate his extraordinary abilities that led him to win the two statuettes that reward excellence in the television and audiovisual arts industry in the United States.

Since his arrival in the United States in 2014, he has been a producer and presenter of television and news programs focused on the Hispanic community, highlighting his coverage of the 2014, 2016, 2020 and 2022 US elections, the presidential inauguration of Joe Biden and the collapse of the complex Champlain Towers South residential complex in Surfside, Florida.

As a personal cause, he has specialized in generating content linked to the fight against hate, suicide prevention and the breaking of the stigma towards mental health issues, through his platform “We went to Bars”.
