On Saturday, May 6th, three of our squad athletes went to Basel for the Swiss Junior Open. Lara Schnetzer, Jana Knünz and Lorenz Jenni were able to put themselves in the limelight at the top international tournament with starters from many nations (Germany, Italy, France and many more).
Jana Knünz fought for the great 3rd place in her category among 10 athletes from 4 nations. Lara Schnetzer fought her way to the semi-finals, where she narrowly lost to her opponent from Switzerland. In the end she was happy about a great 5th place.
Lorenz Jenni secured victory in his weight class -57kg with strong fights. In the OPEN competition, Lorenz was narrowly beaten by his opponent from Italy in the final.
With 3 trophies and a lot of new experience we went back to the country. We are proud of you!
