The journalist and ex-convict Khaled Drareni, shared via a tweet on his Twitter account, that he is still subject to a ban on leaving the national territory (ISTN), so he cannot leave the Algerian territory.
Indeed, according to the tweet of the journalist from Reporters Without Borders (RSF), “a ban on leaving the national territory (ISTN), prevented him from going to Madrid on May 8 to receive the “Anoche tuve un seño” prize. freedom of the press which was awarded to me by the Spanish organization Committed optimists awards.
In this same tweet, Khaled Drareni recalls that Algerian law stipulates that an ISTN has a duration of 3 months, renewable once. Also recalling that it had been the subject of the latter in March 2020, but that this ISTN continues to be applied in May 2023.
