After years of vague rumors, reliable Video Game Chronicle editor Andy Robinson chose to reveal last year that a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is on the way and that the plan was to announce the game this year. Unfortunately, plans changed and instead it was Silent Hill 2 Remake and a number of other Silent Hill projects that were presented. Some of you may have begun to doubt what Robinson claimed, but luckily we won’t have to wait much longer for the good news.

Famitsu has let a number of Japanese game creators share a bit about their plans for 2023. Among them is Konami producer Noriaki Okamura (who helped with many Metal Gear Solid games over the years), and he has something in the works that is “long overdue” and that he promises many new announcements. There have also been rumors of more Castlevania, so maybe this is what he’s referring to in addition to Metal Gear.
