Markus Krösche from Eintracht Frankfurt reacted with astonishment to the statements about Jens Petter Hauge’s loan from KAA Gent. The sports director told the ‘kicker’: “That comes as a surprise, because we received feedback from those responsible in Ghent that he is training well and cannot be blamed for anything. But the coach wants to rely on players from his own ranks. It begs the question why they wanted the loan in the summer.” Hein Vanhaezebrouck, Gent coach, recently announced that there would be a solution to end the loan.
Krosche further: “We are in contact with Ghent and the consultants. No final decision has been made as to how to proceed. There are three or four interested parties who come into question. We have to check them out now and then we’ll see.” In addition to FC Schalke, according to the Norwegian newspaper ‘VG’, FC Groningen is also under discussion. Hauge is under contract with Eintracht until 2026. The 23-year-old offensive man has played 18 competitive games for Gent this season, in which he was only allowed to play 620 minutes.
