There is precipitation in the form of sleet, snow and rain in large parts of the interior. In several places there is ice and storm water on the roads. The police report a number of minor accidents and traffic jams.

On national highway 7 south of Bromma in Nesbyen municipality in Hallingdal, there was a chain collision between four cars and two buses on Friday evening

Ole-Martin Monsen was at the scene by car shortly after the incident. He says the place is spotless.
– Traffic was going at 40 km/h. As soon as you hit the gas pedal, the anti-skid light came on, he says.
Wind and heavy snow
Danger warnings have been issued for heavy snowfall in the mountains in southern Norway, in Nordland and in Troms and parts of Finnmark.
In the inner regions of Møre and Romsdal and Trøndelag, and in parts of Nordland, a warning of strong gusts of wind has been issued.
A warning for heavy rain has been issued in parts of Rogaland and Hordaland.
Several mountain passes are closed
At 16.31 the Road Traffic Center announced that Hardangervidda is closed.
A new assessment will be taken at 12.00 on New Year’s Eve.
