The Chamber of Deputies began working this Thursday to define whether to open the impeachment process against the members of the Supreme Court.

The project was promoted by President Alberto Fernández and a group of governors considering that judges Horacio Rosatti, Carlos Rosenkrantz, Juan Carlos Maqueda and Ricardo Lorenzetti incurred in “bad performance” in several of their rulings.

“I don’t want to be grandiloquent, but I think this is heading towards being a historic trial,” said the deputy of the Frente de Todos, Leopoldo Moreau, when revealing details about the first session to approve the request for impeachment of the members of the Court Supreme Justice.

“Paradoxically, or not so much, precisely when we began to move in this 2023, 40 years of Democracy. A democracy that also started with a historic trial, of a different nature because we were facing aberrant crimes,” the former senator clarified in the interview with Pablo Duggan for C5N.
