Level-5, the studio behind, among others, Ni no Kuni and Professor Layton, has announced that they are working on a brand new game series. And in February, we’ll also finally find out how the extremely delayed Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road of Heroes is doing. The next installment in the soccer role-playing game series was announced as Inazuma Eleven Ares in 2016 with an intended release two years later when an anime of the same name was released. But the game was postponed and in 2019 changed its name to Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes. Last year it changed its name again and is now called Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road of Heroes.

Now, five years after the planned launch, we should get more information. The studio speaks Famitsu that one of the big challenges was getting gameplay into matches. The series has been played on the Nintendo DS and 3DS, which means that players are used to using a touch pen. Is there anyone who dares to hope that the game will be released this year?

Level-5 is also celebrating 25 years as a studio this year and they have promised to show off a brand new game. Unfortunately, at the moment we don’t know more than that. No release, no platform. As soon as we know more, we will of course keep you updated.

Is this the year Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road of Heroes is released?
