LG unveils two new laptops: the Gram Ultraslim and Gram Style.
LG Electronics has finally launched its range of Gram laptops in France in 2021, with new products in 2022. The promise is always the same: a correct technical sheet for an impressively light weight. For CES 2022, we discover two new references.
Less than 1 kg
The first, the LG Gram Ultraslim (model 15Z90RT), the one pictured below, is therefore a lightweight (only 998 grams) and very thin (only 10.99 millimeters when closed) ultraportable. Remember that these figures relate to a laptop 15.6 inches diagonally.
It doesn’t have a dedicated GPU, only the just-announced 13th Gen Intel Raptor Lake. The other novelty is the arrival of a 15.6-inch OLED panel, in Full HD and 60 H only, with AGLR (Anti-glare Low Reflection) anti-reflective coating.
With a 60 Wh battery, it really is the reference ultrabook, with two Thunderbolt 4 ports (in USB-C) and 1 Power Delivery port (still in USB-C).
The Gram Style is elegant
There’s also the LG Gram Style, the flashy laptop you can see below. In 14 and 16 inches (models 16Z90RS and 14Z90RS), the design is in glass with a treatment that allows the color to be changed depending on the light.
The touchpad, of a normal size, is embedded in the chassis. It’s quite surprising and chic. Fortunately, the latter has an LED backlight to see it better in use.
For the rest, the 2023 LG gram Style is classic, apart from its 14-inch (2880 x 1800 pixels / 90 Hz) and 16-inch (3200 x 2000 pixels / 120 Hz) screen around an OLED panel.
We still lack all the details of rates and availability, but these have been confirmed in France. It’s already that.
