During the day of this Monday, two important tenders will be held at the Municipal Palace, framed in the Santa Fe is Illuminated plan that the management of the mayor Emilio Jatón launched to improve trafficability and coexistence in all the neighborhoods of the provincial capital .

This is the new lighting infrastructure for Facundo Quiroga (Transportation) and for Guadalupe Oeste, in the latter case, corresponding to stage 2, since stage 1 concluded in September last year and included the placement of 750 new LED fixtures. For Facundo Quiroga, the official budget reaches $66,768,547.66 while for Guadalupe Oeste, it contemplates an outlay of $184,505,646.43.

In both cases, the works imply the electrical wiring necessary to install new columns that will increase the number of existing luminaires. In the same way, the replacement of sodium lamps with LEDs will be carried out, which offer better performance: less cost, more durability and much better lighting quality.

It is worth mentioning that these works are part of the “ambitious lighting plan that the municipality is carrying out and that has already completed works in various neighborhoods of the city with an investment of close to one billion pesos.” It includes the tuning of the luminaires in public spaces such as squares, parks and promenades in Santa Fe Capital, as well as in streets with high traffic and penetration into neighborhoods, and the so-called safe environments.

This initiative that the current management proposed to alleviate the deficiencies in lighting that were evident in many areas of the urban commons, “was proposed to improve the public lighting network, reduce claims for the inefficiency of the service and update obsolete technology, in certain cases non-existent, as in some neighborhoods in the north of the city that didn’t even have wiring”. According to a survey carried out by the Municipal Urban Management area, 6,000 new columns and 18,000 LED devices have already been incorporated into the system in all the intervened areas, making this initiative unprecedented for the city.

In addition, for this 2023, the Municipality plans to complete lighting works in 16 areas of the city, including the vicinity of Juan de Garay Park and the Roque Sáenz Peña, Roma and Centenario neighborhoods. Regarding new columns and LED devices in different neighborhoods of the city, Alto Verde and Vuelta del Paraguayo will be added, among others. New technology will also be used in the comprehensive work on JJ Paso avenue for its final completion.
