Limay Blanco wants to give a television to an 88-year-old Cuban grandfather

white limey he continues with his project to help Cubans and now he has asked for support to buy a television as a gift for an 88-year-old grandfather whose television is broken.

“That man you see there is 88 years old, he never smoked, he did drink his beer… but he is 88 years old. I have seen people of 60 and 70 lying on a bed and look at how that man is still,” he said Limay at the beginning of a nice dialogue with the old man during which, as usual, he used humor.

“At 90 you call me for my birthday”Limay told the old man, who assures that he sees and hears well, that he believes in God “every day” and that he is a great reader of the New Testament and of psalms and proverbs.

“Your number”, answered the grandfather to the question about how he watched television. “Jesus Christ, help me with a television, 32 inches, plasma,” Limay made the old man – named Oswaldo – repeat out loud.

“When I say to God ‘find me a television’, it appears very quickly”commented jokingly Limay, who promised his grandfather, born in the distant 1935, that he would bring him a television.

“That is the gift of the 90s, when you see me again it is because the television is here,” concluded Limay, who asked for support from his followers to make Oswaldo’s dream come true.

In recent years there are many household appliances that Limay Blanco has delivered to vulnerable families from collections organized on social networks.

It is not the first time, either, that Limay has made a similar gesture with an old man.

In August 2021 a grandfather from Sancti Spíritus received a television and a fan as a gift thanks to a fundraiser managed through the help group “Cristo cambia vidas”. In that case the old man reacted with tears to the delivery of a huge flat screen television.

The humorist -turned into a philanthropist- does not stop. Although recently handed over house number 23intended for the Cuban mother of three children who sold her hair to feed the minors, has already announced that the solidarity collection has begun to buy a home, number 24, to another mother, who in this case has nine children.

“We want to reach 5,000 USD to buy your house. Here I will be putting what is being collected,” the comedian wrote on his social networks.

He specified that in this case it will only be donated to bank accounts on the island, one in national currency and the other in Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), since for this case it does not have accounts in the United States.

Through his humanitarian project “Christ changes lives”, sustained thanks to the donations of generous people, Limay Blanco has so far managed to deliver a total of 23 homes to vulnerable families in the country, and his aspiration is to reach one hundred.
