A couple was arrested this Saturday night for being accused of murdering, mutilating and charring an 18-year-old boy in the town of Parque Barón, in the Lomas de Zamora district of Buenos Aires.

Santiago Nicholas Alcocerthe victim of the macabre crimehad been missing since April 15 at night, when he left his Engineer Budge home. A friend from Alcócer pointed out that she had seen him in Parque Barón that night, but then there was no more trace of him.

A few hours later, his family filed a disappearance report and, finally, on Monday, April 17, a mutilated and charred body in an alley located between Platón and Sócrates streets in Barrio 9 de Abril. After a series of tests and the identification of his own mother, it was confirmed that it was Santiago Alcócer.

The images captured by a surveillance camera were key to clarifying the fact. In the video, which dates from April 16, the victim is seen entering a home located at 800 Bernardo O’Higgins street, between Coronel Olmos avenue and Provincias Unidas, from which he did not leave again.

For his part, the owner of the house, nicknamed “Melli” and his girlfriend – both 32 years old – left the property together a day later. The shocking thing about the episode is that the couple left the house with a cart in which was the mutilated body of Alcócer, which they hitched to a Zanella motorcycle and then moved into the alley.
