At 06.40 on Wednesday morning, the subway came to a complete stop in the inner city. The green line could start running again after five or six minutes, but only at 07.30 SL announced on its website that traffic on all lines was up and running again.

Forsmark 1 and 2 are down
Right now, production is also down for the Forsmark 1 and 2 nuclear power reactors.

– Something has happened on the main network. We lost power for a short period. Our backup power systems have been working as they should, but since we lost the input, we cannot operate the reactors and produce electricity, says Josef Nylén.
Reactor 3 is still producing and has not been disrupted. Now some routine tests and initial checks must be done before reactors 1 and 2 can produce electricity again.
– Exactly when we can go up again is unclear, but we are working hard, says Josef Nylén.
What does this mean for the electricity supply in Sweden and the electricity price?
– There are more electricity producers, but Forsmark 1 and 2 are a significant part of Sweden’s electricity production. We are working to be back up as quickly as possible.
No major delays for SJ trains
SJ says that their train services have not had any major disruptions as a result of the power outage, although individual trains may have been affected for a shorter period of time.
