In birth preparation courses, the subject of breastfeeding is usually dealt with in as much detail as the subject of changing diapers. The course leader explains how it works for about 20 minutes. However, this fast run does not do justice to the complex process at all. Because while changing the diaper is actually learned quickly, a lot of information is needed when it comes to breastfeeding in order to master it safely and not give up after a few days. Many young parents only realize months later how important sound knowledge on this topic would have been before the birth of the child.
