The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddaritoday announced the start of production ofan electric car at the industrial research and technology center of Cheraga, west of Algiers.

The design of this car is carried out entirely within the center and should make it possible to stimulate the Algerian industrial revival.

The car control system is being finalized, as was the engine, while the electric battery was completed by the research center. The minister stressed that these results are the result of research and development to meet the needs of the population.

The manufacturing date of the car will be determined after Eid al-Fitr, once the prototype is completed in the laboratories of the Industrial Technology Research Center. The minister also visited several laboratories and workshops of the centre’s mechanical department, as well as laboratories for welding, technical installation, iron oxidation monitoring and solar image processing.

The creation of a pole of the American university in Algeria discussed

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research had met the American Ambassador, Elizabeth Moore Aubin, to discuss the creation of an American university center in Algeria.

The objective: to facilitate the student life of Algerians in the United States by promoting partnerships for the end of their studies and the completion of their theses. The discussions also focused on the creation of a pole for the American university in Algeria.

The two parties reached an agreement to promote academic cooperation between the two countries.
