Traveling to Fismes in the Marne, the president of the RN group in the National Assembly reacted strongly to the pension reform presented by the government last Tuesday.

“Swindled” French people. Traveling to Fismes (Marne) this Saturday, initially to support Anne-Sophie Frigout, RN candidate for partial legislation, Marine Le Pen strongly criticized the pension reform presented by Elisabeth Borne.

“We are going to oppose it with all the weapons that democracy offers us,” said the MP for Pas-de-Calais during a press conference.

“Obviously our voters and members can take part in the demonstrations. But we the elected our place is in the hemicycle”, judged Marine Le Pen.

She further promised to vote “all censure motions” if 49.3 is used. On the question of blockages, the elected official of the RN will not call “for anything at all”. “Let them take their responsibilities,” she told the government.

Marine Le Pen also wanted to recall that this pension reform was predictable.

“In 2022 he announced it. Calling to vote for him was calling to vote for pension reform,” said the MP.

On this subject, Marine Le Pen herself has reviewed her copy several times. While she was offering a full pension for all from the age of 60, she suddenly changed her mind last February. In her program, the far-right elected official finally wanted to condition the legal age of departure on the date of entry into working life.

“She has a line that has not been constant on the subject from the start (…) We can see that it is a reform with which she is not very comfortable”, noted on set Thomas Soulié , deputy head of the political service of BFMTV.

“The elected LRs are totally macronized”

Faced with journalists, Marine Le Pen did not hesitate to launch a new spade at the Republicans, who support this reform project. “The LR elected officials are totally macronised,” criticized the MP.

“They are the ones who come to cry crocodile tears over the bakers and consider that this reform must be made,” she pointed out.

In the streets of Fismes, Marine Le Pen however admitted “to understand” the mobilization of the French in the street who wish to “defend their rights”.

“The French are defrauded with this reform”, condemned the elected representative of the far right.

As a reminder, Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne presented the outlines of the pension reform on Tuesday, provoking the revolt of Nupes, the main unions and a majority of French people. Demonstrations are planned for January 19 throughout the country, including Paris where the procession will set off from the Place de la République.

This government project aims to gradually raise the retirement age to 64, instead of the current 62, while accelerating the extension of the contribution period.
