His training has long fascinated fans. Now, the 51-year-old is taking a new approach that’s more in keeping with his age.

Los Angeles – Known for his fitness, actor Mark Wahlberg has changed his workout routine as he’s getting older. Speaking to People magazine, he said he’s beginning to realize that he’s 51 and “doesn’t have to try to outdo anyone.”

Instead, he is now pursuing an approach that, in his own words, was recommended to him 20 years ago: “I train specific muscle groups.” He doesn’t use a lot of weight, but stays longer in the tension. He describes this type of training as “intelligent”.

Wahlberg’s motivation for sports is usually film roles: “For the last 20 years or so, that’s kind of dictated what I do and how I approach each year for the next four or five months.” For example, the American for “Pain & Gain “ Gained a lot of muscle mass or went on a diet for months for the thriller “Mile 22”. dpa
