Finally a sigh of relief for “The Masked Singer” fans.

As BILD exclusively learned, the most mysterious show on German TV will continue again from April 1st and will make the studio in Cologne a well-guarded security wing. Then ProSieben sends “The Masked Singer” with the meanwhile eighth season again nine or celebrities on the stage in the Cologne studio.

According to BILD information, filming with the new masks will begin under strict security measures in mid-February. We are still looking for mascot extras and puppeteers. Requirements: male, between 18 and 45 years old, sporty and persistent. Very important: You must not be claustrophobic.

The Rules: That’s What “The Masked Singer” Is About

In each episode, celebrities in costume compete with one or two songs in a singing contest. Before each performance, a short video is shown containing hidden clues as to the identity of the costumed singers.

In recent seasons, viewers have been fascinated by the tooth fairy and zebra costumes, among other things. The German singer Leslie Clio hid behind the tooth fairy. She made it to the final. The zebra was singer Ella Endlich.

Outside of performances, celebrity voices are distorted. The task of the guessing team is to unmask the stars under the masks with tips. The highlight of the show is the revelations as to who is behind the fascinating costumes.

Moderator Matthias Opdenhövel (52) has been leading the popular music advice show since the first season. The prominent guessing team changes every season. Whether that again with moderator Ruth Moschner (46) and Rea Garvey (49) is another mystery that will surely be solved soon.

The offshoot “The Masked Dancer”, in which seven “undercover dancers” danced across the studio floor last spring, will probably not come back. With an average of 1.4 million viewers, the quota was simply too bad.

The big planned “The Masked Singer” tour (among other things with Alexander Klaws and Max Mutzke) through many German cities, which was planned for this spring, was canceled without replacement due to insufficient ticket demand.
