One of New England’s biggest cultural festivals takes place in Boston this weekend.
The Massachusetts Puerto Rican Festival will have its parade passing through Boston on Sunday at noon starting at Copley Square and ending at City Hall where the festival is held.
The parade is the culmination of a multi-day event in Boston and is one of the largest Puerto Rican festivals in the United States.
Our José Rivera Adrovet will be the grand marshal of the parade to the festival on Sunday.
There will be music from artists from all over Massachusetts, rides, games and food for the whole family to enjoy.
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu will make remarks at the festival.
Holyoke Mayor Joshua A. Garcia has been named sponsor of this year’s event.
They are targeting the Puerto Rican diaspora in various US cities to boost tourism by encouraging them to return to the island as tourists.
