Almost thirty years after the film Matilda by Danny DeVito, Netflix unveiled on Saturday December 25 its version of the famous novel by Roman Dahl worn by the young Alisha Weir. Matthew Warchus’ film follows Matilda Verdebois, a little girl with a crazy curiosity, a lively mind and above all an overflowing imagination. While these parents spend their time hatching dubious money-making schemes, their daughter loves getting lost in the pages of her favorite novels. After meeting sweet Miss Candy, Matilda gains confidence and begins to invent her own fantastical tales.
