Pablo Villanueva Branda, popularly known as taffygave an extensive interview to the singer Patricio Suarez Vertizwho launched his YouTube channel, and reviewed his extensive career, also recalling his beginnings at ‘La peña Ferrando’, a comic-musical magazine with which the host Augustus Ferrando He toured Peru many years before ‘Springboard to Fame’.

“The rock was a family. If I went out with a crooked shirt, Augusto told me to fix yourself, be careful”, began telling Melcochita in the program ‘Tal cual’.
He then went on to tell how he found out. “I played drums at the Embassy, I wasn’t funny, but he saw me and said: ‘Do you want to work in the club?’ I told him: ‘How much is there?’ ‘There is so much’, he told me. ‘Who should be killed?’ I replied. So he named me Melcochita because when I went on TV for the first time I sweetened the viewer”, he recalled.
To exemplify Ferrando’s good eye, Villanueva narrated an anecdote in which the protagonist would be Lucho Barrios, although he does not mention it. “There was an artist who sang waltzes and he told her that he had a voice for boleros. He didn’t want to, but Manuel Guerrero (president of the MAG record label) gave him ‘Marabú’ and ‘You fool me, woman’ and he went up. He had signed a contract with Ferrando and was earning 2,000 soles, but after those successes he was ready to earn 20,000. He then said: ‘he exploits me’. But I told him: ‘you have to finish your contract and you’re leaving’. It’s not that it exploded”, he counted.
Melcochita began doing imitations in ‘La peña Ferrando’, along with other comedians of the time such as Miguel ‘Chato’ Barraza and Tulio Loza in the late 50’s and early 60’s. dip.
PATRICIO LAUNCHED AS AN INTERVIEWER
After the boom of ‘Disco Bar’ in Al Fondo Hay Sitio and his foray into acting in the same series, Patricio Suárez Vértiz decided to bet on hosting an interview program, the same one that bears the name ‘Tal cual’ and is broadcast on through their official social networks (YouTube, Instagram and TikTok).
“Youtubers asked me to have a place to interview, more than anything, to share interesting conversations. I was really surprised, it was the typical ‘Patricio should have his show’ and I said ‘but what show’. It must be because of the quality of conversation there has been all my life in the interviews I have given”, said the singer in an exclusive interview with Trome.pe.
In this sense, he confessed that he has never had the opportunity to interview before, but he assured that when one is constantly interviewed, people acquire the techniques of journalists. “You put yourself in the journalist’s place because you answer the questions that were designed by him and you already feel familiar. Sometimes, the interviewee imagines the questions that are going to be asked, then you become a journalist, ”he said.

In addition to Melcochita, Carlos Alcántara, Koky Belaúnde, Salim Vera, ‘Wicho’ García from Mar de Copas, Tavo Castillo from Frágil and Pochi Marambio, among others, will also go through ‘Tal Cual’.
