Targeted by Arsenal, Shakhtar Donetsk winger Myhaylo Mudryk will eventually join Chelsea. The Blues will pay around 100 million euros to recruit the Ukrainian nugget. And explode the amount of their spending on the transfer market since last summer.

Chelsea are in talks with Shakhtar Donetsk for the transfer of Mykhailo Mudryk. If an agreement is reached between the two clubs, the Ukrainian international, who can play as a winger or a striker, will discuss his personal conditions with the Blues with a view to a permanent transfer. In a press release published on Saturday evening, Chelsea confirmed the huge surprise that is in store.
Expected Arsenal for several weeks, Myhaylo Mudryk (22) will finally commit to the Blues in the coming hours. The young attacking talent of Shakhtar Donetsk (3 goals and 2 assists in 6 Champions League games this season) is currently in England to undergo the traditional medical examination and sign a contract until June 2030 with the London club, which ready to complete a transfer estimated at around 100 million euros.
Around €450m spent this season!
Barring a last-minute twist, the Ukrainian nugget will be Chelsea’s fifth winter recruit. Since the opening of the transfer window in January, the London club has already recruited central defender Benot Badiashile (Monaco) for €38m, midfielder Andrey Santos (Vasco da Gama) for €12.5m, forward- center David Datro Fofana (Molde) for €12m and striker Joao Flix (Atletico Madrid) for a paying loan of €11m.
With Mudryk, the addition of Chelsea on this winter transfer window will climb more than 170 M €. The note is starting to be dirty for the club of owner Todd Boehly who had already spent around €280m last summer to afford Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chukwuemeka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabriel Slonina and Denis Zakaria. For this 2022-2023 season, the English team has therefore already spent around €450 million!
Nkunku will arrive for 60 M€
Chelsea’s spending spree is not over. It is certain that the French attacking midfielder from RB Leipzig, Christopher Nkunku, will join Stamford Bridge next summer against a check for €60 million. The name of his compatriot from Borussia Mnchengladbach, striker Marcus Thuram, estimated between 10 and 15 M€ is also circulating. Like that of the winger of PSV Eindhoven, Noni Madueke, for whom an offer of 30 M€ is mentioned by the Dutch press. Where will the current 10th in the Premier League stop?
