A new gaming year is upon us, and the Gamer.no editors are taking a deep breath. Now that the Christmas peace has subsided, we are also taking it a bit easy, but it will still not be completely quiet here on the website.

Among other things, we have a bunch of comments summarizing the year for the big three in stock in the next few days. True to tradition, we will also fire up the editors’ selection of the year’s best and most disappointing games in a few days. We have distributed the award over three articles, and the first will come on 27 December.

Over the New Year, we will also present the writers’ personal favorites from the past year. Here we are guessing that some goodies will appear that didn’t quite make the cut in the more general selection.

Finally, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Gamer.no houses many different types: readers, league participants, people who have stopped by for our annual advent calendar, and others who have clicked on a link via social media or Google and wandered onto our orange websites by chance.

I also want to say a special greeting to all those who, for various reasons, have a little extra to think and feel at the moment. Life is often brutal and complicated, and especially during the Christmas season, overwhelming situations can take over, or loneliness can become even heavier. I hope you find good ways to take care of yourself, and seek help if it gets difficult. There is absolutely no shame in doing that.

Whoever you are, thank you for this year! See you in 2023.
