Barbara Evans, 69, mother of MTV star Jenelle Evans, has been retired for a few years now.
She was married to Robert Evans from 1984 to 1996.
Barbara reportedly worked at Walmart for almost 12 years before officially saying goodbye to the company.
Barbara used to have primary physical and legal custody of 12-year-old Jace, as Jenelle has visits with him every other weekend, after she handed over custody of her son to his mother in June 2010.
In North Carolina court documents, which were first obtained by The Sun, Jenelle filed for sole custody of her troubled son on January 28, 2021.
Things between her and Barbara began to heat up in January 2021, when Jenelle filed an emergency petition for custody of her son.
Jenelle told The Sun in 2021 that the custody fight with her mother Barbara over her son, Jace, left their relationship shattered beyond repair.

In an exclusive 2021 interview, the former MTV star told The Sun that the legal battle over her eldest son, who fans watched growing up on the show, shattered any chance of reconciling with his mother.
“Things have been pretty tough back home with Jace for the past two years.
“There were no major changes. We agreed to have Jace live with me and she took her word back about a week later.
The mother-of-three says Jace had behavioral issues while living with Barbara.
As The Sun previously reported, Jace allegedly started fires while in Barbara’s care.
In June 2021, just a week before the custody motion, Jenelle revealed that she had regained custody of Jace.
She said in a TikTok video: “I have custody of Jace. He lives with me now full time. My children are happy, they are healthy.
In early 2021, Jenelle said she would probably never mend her relationship with her mother, “but if I get custody, I will continue to let Jace have a relationship with her.”
“They’ve been together for so long, and I don’t want to be mean and mean to Jace just because I have something against my mom.”

She was pregnant with her first child, Jace, with then-boyfriend Andrew Lewis.
