The Guaynabo Mets defeated the Capitanes de Arecibo on Monday in the first match of the National Superior Basketball (BSN) Quarterfinals.
The score closed 96-82
Mitch Creek led the Mets with an impressive performance, scoring 28 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. On the other hand, Davis Huertas contributed 15 points for the Captains.
The series continues Thursday in Arecibo.
Arecibo finished the regular season with a record of 18-18 in Division A. Meanwhile, Guaynabo finished in second place in Section B with 21-15.
