The progress in cybersecurity measures used in the banking system has caused greater confidence among users when making use of online banking applications, according to the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT), users consider it riskier to go to the bank in person than to do their paperwork online.

The report published by IFTdetails that users feel more secure when using online banking due to security filters, among which the use of biometric data, digital cards with dynamic CVV and temporary card blocking when not in use stand out.

Meanwhile, the main risks that users perceive when using online banking are related to situations outside the banking application or platform, such as: making a deposit to another person by mistake, cell phone theft, theft through apocryphal pages , card cloning, among others.

The progress in security systems within banking applications has not only generated greater trust in users, but also an impulse to learn more about digital tools, since they consider that cybercrime is advancing rapidly in the creation of mechanisms to circumvent security filters, so they believe it is necessary to adapt to the new technologies used by banking platforms.
