NEW YORK – The microphone that singer Cardi B threw into the crowd during a concert in Las Vegas in late July after an attendee spilled liquid from a glass on her was auctioned Tuesday on eBay for $99,900, according to TMZ.

The microphone was auctioned off by the owner of The Wave, the production company responsible for the audio device at the performance, who told the outlet that the proceeds from the auction will go to two charities: the Wounded Warrior Project and the local Friendship Circle Las Vegas.

The microphone’s starting price was $500, but it received more than 120 offers in about a week.

Cardi B’s fury: a drink is thrown at her and she responds by throwing the microphone at a woman

The video of the New York rapper of Caribbean parents throwing away the microphone went viral last week.

At one point during the concert, Cardi B said that she was very hot, and even asked the audience to throw water at her, which several attendees did repeatedly to the singer’s laughter.

Later, another bystander threw the contents of her drink at her when Cardi B was in the middle of a song, which seemed to irritate her, and she reacted by throwing her microphone hard into the audience as the song continued to play.

Following the incident, a woman went to the police and claimed to have been shocked by the microphone. At the time, Cardi B was declared a suspect, but she was later released.
