Microsoft plans to launch a Windows that does not need to be installed on your PC

Microsoft is preparing to release a version of windows to work directly on the cloud, as revealed by internal company documents. This innovative idea aims to replace the operating systems installed on PCs in the future.

The revelation arose during the US FTC (Federal Trade Commission) trial examining the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft.

Known as Windows 365, the service has been available to business customers since 2021. Allows access to Windows 10 and 11 through any browser, along with other Office 365 applications. What makes it even more interesting is that it does not require an individual license for each PC, this allows employees of the same company to share the same work environment, even if they are in remote locations.

Recently, Microsoft introduced the Windows 365 boot feature for Windows 11. This function allows the cloud operating system to start directly when the computer is turned on. In addition, the company launched Windows 365 Switch, which allows you to quickly switch between the cloud operating system and the operating system installed on the machine.

Microsoft to the Cloud

According to the leaked documents, Microsoft sees expansion of Windows 365 for all consumers as an opportunity for the future. The company believes that by running Windows 11 on its own servers, users will have a richer experience.

Although Microsoft has yet to comment on this revelation, it is in line with recent steps the company has taken. In early 2023, LG smart TVs began offering access to Windows 365 through their internal browser. This allows you to use Windows 11 directly from the TV, just need to connect a mouse and keyboard to transform it into a computer.
