More storms expected in parts of Colorado: hail, heavy rain and possible tornadoes

DENVER, Colorado – The storm pattern for Friday is repeated and the risk of severe weather is expected to increase, with the greatest threat in the southeastern sections of Denver, through the Palmer Divide and into Lincoln County.

Large hail is possible and some severe storms could produce hail the size of golf or tennis balls.

Winds will also be blowing strong with gusts up to 70 mph, especially as the storms organize and move southeast across the plains.

Storms are expected for the weekend on Saturday while conditions will be dry and stable on Sunday.

Next week temperatures in the 90 degree range and dry conditions.

  • Tonight: 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Low around 58°F.
  • Friday: 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. High near 77°F.
  • Friday night: 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Low around 57°F.
  • Saturday: 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. High near 79°F.
  • Saturday night: 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Low around 58°F.
  • Sunday: Sunny, high near 83°F.
  • Sunday night: Mostly clear, low around 61°F.
  • Monday: Sunny, high near 89°F.
  • Monday night: Partly cloudy, low around 61°F.
  • Tuesday: Sunny, high near 91°F.
