The ceremony of handing over the MTV VMAswhich takes place in the early hours of September 12-13 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, is presented as women’s big night and also the big night of Latin music.

For the first time in the history of these awards, whose first gala took place in 1984, six women compete for Artist of the Year award and for the first time a Latin artist will be recognized with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.
