Within the framework of the improvement of road safety of the National Routes in the province of Santa Fe, the 7th Santa Fe District supervises the tasks of horizontal demarcation of the Santo Tomé – San Francisco Highway of National Route No. 19.

The painting tasks of the edge and axis lines are carried out this week between the intersection with the Santa Fe – Rosario Highway and San Jerónimo del Sauce, on both directions of traffic.

In all cases, the presence of slow-moving equipment and personnel produce momentary lane reductions, a restriction that advances according to the progress of the work train. The demarcation of RN 19 will continue in sections during the month of April until it reaches the town of San Francisco.

It is worth mentioning that this type of actions to reinforce the painting of National Routes is sustained thanks to a contract from the National Highway Administration for the provision of this service by region.

In Santa Fe, these improvements were carried out in sections of National Route 11, National Route 178 and National Route 7. Currently, in the southern zone, another work front is advancing on the Rosario – Córdoba Highway (RN 9), from Rosario to the provincial limit. In these cases of concessioned corridors, such as RN 9 or RN 19, the contribution of the National Highway Service has the objective of guaranteeing passability with the horizontal demarcation with the corresponding reflective paint.

Finally, from the road agency dependent on the Ministry of Public Works of the Nation, it is planned to continue with these interventions in different sections of National Routes in Santa Fe territory throughout the year, by virtue of the completion of patching and resurfacing works, such as those currently underway on former Route 9 (RN 1V09) between Roldán and Tortugas; or in RN 95, between San Bernardo and Villa Minetti
