National Hurricane Center issues alert for "Potential Tropical Cyclone #9" in the Gulf of Mexico

The National Hurricane Center issued an alert and information about the potential tropical cyclone #9 in the Gulf of Mexico.

The information establishes that this atmospheric phenomenon could become a tropical storm before making landfall in our area on Tuesday morning. He will be named Harold.

Potential Tropical Cyclone #9 can bring heavy rain to South Texas this Tuesday and Wednesday. Flash floods and flooding in urban areas are not ruled out, according to the National Hurricane Center. Sectors of Coahilla and Nuevo León, in Mexico, could experience possible landslides in mountainous terrain on Tuesday and Wednesday, warns the Center.

Additionally, coastal flooding is possible along the South Texas coast Monday night through Tuesday morning.

Tropical storm-like weather conditions are expected for the warning area and are possible as early as Tuesday morning.
