Atlético Madrid appear to be growing more confident about signing Memphis Depay in the current transfer window. As ‘Marca’ reports, the 28-year-old Dutchman is impressed by the interest of the Colchoneros and can well imagine a change. The national player is under contract with FC Barcelona until the end of the season.
According to the Spanish newspaper, Atlético Madrid have identified Depay as their dream player. Negotiations are well advanced and the deal could be completed in just a few days. In the Rojiblancos, the right foot could close the gap in attack created by the departure of João Félix (23/Chelsea). According to the report, Atlético are planning a loan deal until the summer.
Depay has played a minor role at Barcelona for quite some time. Consequently, Barça would like to save the lavish salary of the attacking player. Depay was already one of the farewell candidates in Catalonia last summer. Now a separation seems to be concretized.
