Néstor Gorosito stopped being the gymnastics coach after reaching an agreement with the new leadership to terminate the contract he had signed prior to the elections that were held on November 27.
The new directive headed by Mariano Cowen presented days ago a report on the economic and financial situation in which they found the institution with a monthly liability of 94 million pesos.
The new president, who never questioned Gorosito’s technical capacity, stated that the new link was very onerous and beyond the possibilities of the institution.
The agreement was not easy and several meetings took place throughout the week. Gymnastics maintains a debt with “Pipo” and his coaching staff of three months’ salary and also the prize for qualifying for the Copa Sudamericana.
Gorosito’s campaign in Gymnastics was very good, since out of 60 games he won 27, tied 16 and lost 17. Under his leadership, “Lobo” scored 74 goals, conceded 59 and achieved a performance of 53.89% efficiency.
At the moment there are no announcements and everything will be made official in the early hours of the new year. Right now the main candidate to replace him is Sebastián Romero, the Reserve coach.
