The Kastelruther Spatzen celebrate their 40th band anniversary. For this special occasion, the folk music stars are releasing a new record. The next album is already being planned.
Kastelruth – Finally new music from the Kastelruther Spatzen! The group of seven is one of the best-known artists in the field of folk music and can look back on an eventful musical history. This year the Kastelruther Spatzen celebrate their 40th anniversary and of course the singers want to celebrate this special occasion with a new album. The record, which will be released on June 16, was produced by record company Universal. It is entitled “Stories that life writes”.
As part of the band’s birthday, “Stories that life writes” is a best-of album. According to the Kastelruther Spatzen, the “most important songs and hits” of their career can be found on two CDs. It is not yet known whether previously unreleased recordings are also included on the record. What is certain, however, is that the folk musicians have put their heart and soul into their upcoming double LP. According to the singers, the album is “very personal”.
The Kastelruther Spatzen may want to release another album in 2023
However, fans of the Kastelruther Spatzen can already look forward to more music from their favorite band: such as the COLORFUL reported, the hit greats are already working on their next album, which, if everything goes according to plan, should be released next fall. Even after four decades in the recording studio and on stage, the South Tyroleans are far from retiring!
The Kastelruther Spatzen started making music together in 1975. The passionate singers released their first recordings in 1983. Since then, the band has sold more than 15 million records. This makes the Kastelruther Spatzen one of the most successful folk music acts in history. They presented their last studio album entitled “Freundschaft aus Gold” last year.
