Real Madrid want to wrap up the contract extension with Marco Asensio in the near future. As Fabrizio Romano reports, another meeting with agent Jorge Mendes is planned for the next few days. The financial framework should also be included. Most recently, Real offered 4.5 million euros net, the Asensio side was not satisfied with that.

It has now been almost decided that the 27-year-old offensive player should continue in Madrid. Both parties aim to continue the cooperation and to extend the expiring contract. Asensio came to the Spanish capital from RCD Mallorca in 2015. Since then he has played 273 competitive games (58 goals, 30 assists) in the Royal jersey.
