Marcel Sabitzer is moving on after around a year and a half at FC Bayern. The 28-year-old midfielder joins Manchester United. Sabitzer signs a loan contract with the English record champions until the end of the season. His contract with Bayern runs until 2025.
Sabitzer came to Munich from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021 for 15 million euros. In recent months, the Austrian national player has found himself increasingly on the Bayern bench. In the internal ranking, Sabitzer was replaced by Ryan Gravenberch (20). Next season there will be further competition for the center in Konrad Laimer (25/RB Leipzig).
United meanwhile had to do without playmaker Christian Eriksen (30) for months and looked for a replacement at the last minute. Chelsea FC is also said to have expressed a concrete interest in Sabitzer.
