Berlin is experiencing the turn of the year from 2022 to 2023 in the usual way: After two years of restrained action, partly with extensive bans on firecrackers and residence bans as well as party restrictions due to the corona pandemic, the capital is expecting a hot New Year’s Eve.
This even applies almost meteorologically: Even the lowest temperatures are said to be in double digits, no talk of winter. Because it is also supposed to be windy and many people have stocked up on firecrackers and rockets, the police and fire brigade expect many operations. More than 2500 emergency services are ready.
