When 2023’s first Nintendo Direct was announced this week, we thought The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would be an obvious part of the program, as we were told the stream would focus on titles launching in the first half of 2023 – and it undeniably is the greatest of them all. Fortunately, we didn’t get your hopes up unnecessarily.

Nintendo delivered a brand new gameplay trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that showcases both previously revealed abilities and weapons as well as new ones that will come in handy as you solve puzzles and fight new types of enemies. In addition, new vehicles are apparently waiting.

And not only that. We’re also treated to some story hints that we’re sure fans will be analyzing *Epona* over the next few days, especially with Zelda asking someone to “lend him your power” before we get to see how Link tries to save her from falling into an abyss.

Finally, it’s also reiterated that the adventure will launch on May 12, and Nintendo topped off the presentation by revealing a delicious collector’s edition as well as an Amiibo for the highly anticipated title. The only bad news is that it’s also confirmed that the Standard Edition will cost $69.99 (ten dollars more than Nintendo games usually cost, and on par with what Microsoft and Sony charge), while the Collector’s Edition will cost $129.99.

What do you think of the new trailer and is the price tag reasonable?
