Jazz festival in the Dolomites celebrates anniversary

Jazz fans get their money’s worth in early March in the Dolomites. The music festival Dolomiti Ski Jazz takes place from March 3rd to 12th – and celebrates its 25th anniversary. Italian and international jazz greats like Bobby Watson have been announced. Many of the free concerts take place during the day on the terraces of the huts in Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa, informs the Visit Trentino tourist agency.

Copenhagen is the world capital of architecture in 2023

Copenhagen – If you are interested in architecture, Copenhagen should be at the top of your list of possible travel destinations for 2023. Denmark’s capital is this year’s “World Capital of Architecture”. The tourism agency Visit Denmark points this out. There are a number of events and congresses for professionals, but tourists will also find interesting offers.

From March 24, you can visit the new permanent exhibition “Made in Denmark” in the Danish Architecture Center, which traces the development of Danish architecture from the Vikings to the present day.

On March 25th and 26th, as part of the “Open House” event, more than 40 buildings in the city that are otherwise not open to the public will open their doors, including palaces, power plants and private houses. Admission is free.

Maffay on the “Mein Schiff 4”

Hamburg – Peter Maffay will play three concerts on Tui Cruises’ “Mein Schiff 4” in late summer. The five-day “Rock ‘n’ Sail” cruise from September 10th to 15th, 2023 leads through the Baltic Sea, as the shipping company announced. Start and finish is in Kiel. Cost: from 1400 euros per person.

Snowmobile roller coaster opens at Sea World San Diego in spring

San Diego – At Sea World in San Diego, Southern California, a new roller coaster will open in the spring. It’s called Arctic Rescue. The cars are reminiscent of snowmobiles and should accelerate up to 40 miles per hour, as announced by San Diego Tourism.

Flower Power in Munich

Munich – In the coming months, Munich will become the city of flowers and blossoms. At the Flower Power Festival, almost 500 events are planned until October 7th under the motto “Celebrate nature in the city”, the organizers announced.

The exhibition “Flowers Forever. Flowers in Art and Culture” in the Kunsthalle Munich. Workshops, dance and theater performances, walks, concerts, readings, parties and other events at numerous other locations are to follow. The center of the festival is the Kulturzentrum Gasteig HP8.
