The last week has seen the Nintendo team pay particular attention to new indie video games coming to Nintendo Switch over the next few months, with a flood of announcements of all kinds being shared throughout the show Inside the House of Indies.
The debut appointment of the format saw the protagonist Roman Sands RE:Build, a disturbing adventure set in an evocative paradise located at the “end of time”. In search of an escape from this strange non-place, players will be able to immerse themselves in the title during the summer of 2023. The Nintendo Switch version of Pupperazzi will instead arrive at the beginning of the new year.
The second installment of Inside the House of Indies has instead brought with it a new trailer of The Gecko Godswith the confirmation of the launch of the title in 2023. Space also for the reveal of Risk of Rain: Returns, remastered and expanded version of Risk of Rain. The latter, too, will arrive on Nintendo Switch next year.
The third date saw the announcement of the Nintendo Switch version of Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator, arriving in spring 2023, following its recent PC debut. The development team of the delicious Tin Hearts also confirmed that the game will be available on the console starting April 20, 2023.
The ancient kingdom of Engardin will instead be the background for afterimage, a promising 2D Action RPG announced in the fourth episode of Inside the House of Indies. The title, with evocative atmospheres, will debut on April 25, 2023. Decidedly more disturbing atmospheres for Smile For Mearriving next spring, complete with a retail edition.
Among the announcements of the fifth and last appointment with the format, several announcements found space. Dust & Neonan adventure shooter with a cyber-western atmosphere, will arrive on Nintendo Switch in early 2023. The spring of the new year will also bring with it UNDYING, a touching video game tale characterized by a minimalist aesthetic. Space also for the publication of a new gameplay video of Sea of Stars, the long-awaited prequel to The Messenger expected for next year. Unfortunately, however, still no precise date for the debut of Sea of Stars.
In addition, we point out that each appointment with Inside the House of Indies has brought with it the surprise publication of several titles, now available on Nintendo Switch. Among the latter, we can mention:
- Sports Story: crazy adventure that blends unlikely sports with an RPG system and a nostalgic artistic sector;
- Floppy Knights: a colorful tactical cartoon adventure;
- Mortal Shell: Complete Edition: the definitive version of the acclaimed Action RPG;
- The Captain: 2D adventure in pixel art and sci-fi atmospheres;
- The Punchuin: by the authors of The Tourystan unusual pixel art adventure starring a fighting penguin;
- Sonority: a Zelda-like production based on musical instruments;
- Sail Forth: brightly colored pirate adventure;
- Melatonina rhythm game dedicated to dreams;
- Hyper Gunsport: single and multiplayer puzzle game;
Finally, space for the announcement of the specials Indie World Sale on Nintendo eShopwith discounts and promotions dedicated to independent gems that will remain active until next January 1, 2023. Unfortunately, the initiative has not been activated on the Italian Nintendo eShop.
