GOD/I’M

Don Alfredo, the eternal question: if God created everything, then who created God?

R. Mrs. Esty, Christians say that God does not have a beginning or an end and this is similar to the question of what was there before the universe was created. It’s hard to imagine that there was a time before when there was nothing.

Scientists talk about a big bang that happened 14 billion years ago. But what caused that? And what happened before? What happened a second before that? It is a very similar problem. In the end, this is a religious dogma and another question that still has no scientific explanation.

CONSCIOUS AND UNCONSCIOUS

Aside from the obvious, what is the most important difference between conscious and unconscious?

R. I share the definition and I anticipate that the second is the one that brings us the darkest and most negative feelings.

In our conscious mind are all the thoughts, memories, feelings, and desires of which we are aware at any given moment. This is the aspect of our mental processing that we can rationally think and talk about. This also includes our memory, which is not always part of consciousness, but can be easily retrieved and brought to awareness.

The other important state is the preconscious, which consists of anything that could potentially be brought into the conscious mind.

Finally, there is the one that concerns us, the unconscious (or subconscious), and this is a reservoir of feelings, thoughts, impulses and memories that are outside of our conscious awareness. Most of the contents of the unconscious are unacceptable or unpleasant, such as feelings of pain, anxiety, or conflict.

One, positive, useful; the other, a dredger.

SPEED

Let’s see, Mr. Alfredo, answer this question that intrigues us all: why do car manufacturers put a speedometer that shows 240 kph if the speed limit is 120 kph?

R. Don Luis Alberto, some logic and some marketing. Even if you don’t drive over the speed limit, it is beneficial to design a faster car to improve performance capabilities. By having a more powerful engine in a car, various performance elements will improve. When a top speed increases, it usually translates to a faster acceleration time. A faster car also helps with driving dynamics such as cornering abilities.

Another reason automakers design their cars to exceed the speed limit is that they overdesign their cars to improve reliability. By making a vehicle that can drive up to 200 km/h, there is less stress on the engine than there is when it goes through a life of 100 km/h.

Designing cars that can exceed the speed limit is beneficial for safety and fuel economy, as far as the transmission is concerned. To create seamless shifts up the transmission it is necessary to increase the top speed. Motor Hills details how “if a car had a top speed of 65 mph, your car would be red the whole time you’re on the road.”

In addition, a transmission designed to allow faster speed reduces the amount of gasoline a car consumes. It takes a considerable amount of energy to spin at high speed. If a vehicle didn’t have such a high speed capability, it wouldn’t be able to turn large gears as efficiently.
