In Friesenstraße in Nuremberg, the fire brigade, rescue service and police were required: A basement fire broke out in a residential building on Friday evening (May 12, 2023).
At around 11 p.m., the alarm was raised by the units, who then went to the scene as quickly as possible.
Cellar fire in Nuremberg: targeted extinguishing action against heavy smoke development
When the first emergency services arrived, thick smoke was already coming from the basement of a four-story residential building. Several residents had already left their apartments and were in front of the building. Due to the strong spread of smoke in the building, other firefighters were alerted to the scene.
The fire in the basement was quickly brought under control by means of a targeted fire-fighting attack. The stairwell and the affected apartments were ventilated and checked by the fire brigade. In the course of the deployment four people treated by the rescue service.

Vehicles from the Nuremberg professional fire brigade and the Werderau volunteer fire brigade were deployed with around 40 emergency services, the rescue service and the police with several vehicles and one emergency doctor.
