Black Mirror’s sixth season has now been confirmed to consist of a total of five episodes, and we have been given the names of these along with a brief description of the plot.
The first episode is titled Joan is Awful and is about a young woman who discovers that her life has been turned into a TV drama in which she is played by Salma Hayek. This episode will also feature Annie Murphy, Michael Cera, Rob Delaney, Ben Barnes and Himesh Patel in what looks to be a pretty star-studded and large cast.
Episode two is called Loch Henry and follows a film crew making a nature documentary who become more and more interested in the shocking events of the site in the past.
Episode three takes us back into scifi territory with Beyond the Sea, which features two men on a high-tech mission where they must deal with the consequences of an unimaginable tragedy. This is the episode featuring Aaron Paul, along with Kate Mara, Josh Hartnett and Rory Culkin.
Episode four is called Mazey Day and follows a young, famous woman who is hounded by intrusive paparazzi after she is involved in a contagion accident. This episode stars Zazie Beetz and Danny Ramirez.
Finally, we round off Black Mirror season six with Demon 79. The story here takes place in England in 1979 and follows a woman who is forced to commit horrific acts.
