Offices of the Human Rights Commission of Morelos and the El Txoro Matutino program are attacked

CUERNAVACA, Mor. (apro).– The offices of the Human Rights Commission of Morelos and the radio production company El Txoro Matutino were attacked with bullets during the early hours of this Monday, they reported separately. In neither of the two cases are victims registered, only the traces of the bullets remained on the walls and windows.

This morning, the Commission released a video in which a dark vehicle can be seen driving along San Diego Avenue, in the Delicias neighborhood, at around 12:33 a.m., slowing down and then firing a weapon and firing several times at agency offices.

According to the information available, eight bullet wounds were counted by the workers of the Human Rights Commission chaired by Israel Hernández, a lawyer close to Graco Ramírez and a political ally of Uriel Carmona Gándara, a Morelos prosecutor arrested last Friday in Cuernavaca and already linked to process in Mexico City.

The Commission denounced that elements of the Morelos State Police tried this morning to enter its facilities on three occasions with the argument of reviewing the videos of the agency’s surveillance cameras. However, they were denied entry on the grounds that they do not have constitutional powers to do so.

Meanwhile, around nine in the morning, the producer of the news program El Txoro Matutino denounced that it had been the victim of an armed attack on its offices, which caused damage to the walls and windows, without causing personal casualties. The production company directed by Juan José Arreze reported that he will go to the Attorney General’s Office to file a complaint about the facts. There were five bullet wounds that were registered in this second attack.

El Txoro Matutino has been a radio program that is particularly critical of the government of Cuauhtémoc Blanco Bravo. In fact, its reporter Viridiana Arias attended President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s morning conference on July 27 and questioned the problems that Morelos has and the governor’s inability to solve them.

The president made a fierce defense of the governor and assured that he is attacked for the inheritances that Graco Ramírez left him, like the prosecutor himself Uriel Carmona. However, the reporter was very sharp in criticizing him. Hours later, Juan José Arreze filed a complaint with the FGR for threatening telephone calls received minutes later in the morning.
