A singer Mimicat, who will represent Portugal in the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, stepped, on Sunday, for the first time on the Eurovision stage in Liverpool, in the United Kingdom. The first rehearsal took place about a week before the first semifinal of the contest, scheduled for May 9th.

In addition to Mimicat, nine of the top 15 semifinalists rehearsed, including Norway, Malta, Serbia, Latvia, Ireland, Croatia, Switzerland, Moldova and Sweden.

For today, the rehearsals of the remaining first five semifinalists – Israel, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Netherlands and Finland – and the 15 second semifinalists are expected.

It should be noted that the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Liverpool between the 9th and 13th of May, after the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the BBC announced that the United Kingdom would be the country to receive the festival, despite Ukraine having won the previous edition. At stake were uncertainties about whether the country would be able to host the event because of the Russian invasion taking place in the territory.
