In the morning hours of this Sunday, a plane crash was reported in the Cristóbal Rojas municipality of Miranda state, at the height of Maitana, in Valles del Tuy.
According to the preliminary report, the accident was caused by the crash of a military plane in a wooded area near Maita.
It was learned that the Sukhoi aircraft fell to the ground in the Quebrada Honda sector of the Mirandina entity.
The aircraft was a Sukhoi 30 Mk2 Flanker, acronym 3363. The pilots are Colonel Paulino Sabino and Lieutenant Colonel Sergio Hernández.
Later, it was learned that Colonel Sabino passed away.
The pilots would have ejected in the Cortada de Maturín and the Cortada del Guayabo, along the old Miranda state highway.
The Sukhoi and other Aviation aircraft are taking off from the different bases to practice due to the July 5th parade, which is traditionally celebrated in Los Próceres.
