Three people were injured in a fire in Recklinghausen on Saturday. A forklift caught fire on a business premises.
When trying to extinguish a burning forklift, three men were slightly injured on a company site in Recklinghausen. According to the fire brigade, the employees of an automotive supplier were taken to nearby hospitals on Saturday with smoke poisoning.
The electrically operated forklift caught fire outdoors on Saturday morning. Firefighters could have extinguished it quickly. The vehicle’s battery pack was then stored in a cool water tank. It was initially unclear why the forklift caught fire. (dpa)
