What is “Argentina, 1985” about?
The film is based on the trial of soldiers responsible for Human Rights violations during the last dictatorship.
Ricardo Darín plays the prosecutor Julio César Strassera, while Peter Lanzani does the same with Luis Moreno Ocampo, his closest collaborator in this case, who remained in history with the subsequent conviction of the military involved.
Throughout the film, the pressures and doubts that stalked Strassera and Moreno Ocampo are shown, in the midst of the investigations carried out by other young lawyers, in charge of compiling the testimonies that were later to be used in the trial.
