Los Angeles – US actor Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man”) has long let his son believe that he is an employee of a cinema.
At the age of four or five, his son went to the cinema to see a film with his friends, the 53-year-old said in a preview clip of the “Sunday Today” show. “There was a movie poster that I was on. That was in the entrance area. So they all thought I was working in the cinema, which I thought was very cute.”
The Hollywood star said he never pointed out his mistake to the boy and never told him about his actual work. Later he “finally figured it all out”. He found the idea of sitting his three-year-olds down and saying, “Wait, I have some DVDs I want to show you guys” strange, he says.
Rudd has two children together with his wife Julie Yaeger, who were born in 2006 and 2010. He’ll be back in cinemas as a Marvel superhero next week with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. dpa
